Work to be carried out at Crabtree Plantation car park

Feb 17, 2017

Please be aware that landscape improvements to Crabtree Plantation car park are due to be carried out from late February until late March.
Large parts of the car park will be closed during this time, resulting in a limited area for vehicles to park. Alternative parking is available at the nearby Black Dam Ponds. For more information about the accessibility of the car parks at both sites, click here.

The improvement works include:

  • Increasing the size of the car park for users
  • New stone surfacing
  • New post and rail fencing at the front of the site
  • Painting of the entrance barrier
  • Tree and groundcover planting to enhance views of nearby listed buildings
  • Clearance of overgrown vegetation
  • Laying logs at the edges of the car park to provide a barrier to vehicle encroachment into the wider site.
