History of Pictures in the Park
It all began in 2017 when a special commemorative screening of Pride and Prejudice took place to mark 200 years since the death of local literary icon Jane Austen who was born in the borough.
Tickets sold out and so the next year we went bigger and better, screening a trio of terrific movies chosen by the public – Grease, Dirty Dancing and the ever-popular Greatest Showman – for delighted capacity crowds.
For 2019, we treated our audiences to another three fantastic film musicals – Moulin Rouge!, Bohemian Rhapsody and Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again. Event sponsors Lamb Brooks Solicitors were on hand with free popcorn for all!
