Families encouraged to help save Christmas as part of new Leisure Park trail
Families visiting Basingstoke Leisure Park could be in with a chance of winning a prize while exploring everything the park has to offer as part of a new free Christmas trail running throughout December.
Santa’s elves have hidden eight presents at different locations around the park and he needs help to find them and save Christmas.
Visitors to the leisure park can take part by picking up a free trail map from The Aquadrome, Loddon Vale Bowls Club or McDonald's until Tuesday 31 December to spot the missing presents.
Once participants have completed their trail maps and have taken an ‘elfie’ or two while exploring the Leisure Park, they should email a copy of their map and their contact details to the Love Basingstoke team at Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council by Tuesday 31 December.
The draw will take place in the first week of January with three winners to be picked at random. There are four prizes up for grabs: a family swim session at the Aquadrome, two sets of McDonalds meal vouchers and coaching sessions at Loddon Bowls. Winners will be notified within a week of the closing date using the details they provide and the winners' names will be published on the Love Basingstoke Facebook page.
Cabinet Member for Sports, Leisure and Culture Cllr Kerry Morrow said: “There is something for everyone at Basingstoke Leisure Park with activities to bring family and friends together for some festive fun this Christmas, including swimming, bowling, indoor skydiving for thrill-seekers and places to refuel.
“As well as giving visitors a chance to explore everything the park has to offer, this new free trail will give people the chance to win a prize to come back and explore the attractions on the park. The trail can be completed at your own pace, so why not take a couple of trips to the park to help Santa find all the presents.”
