Smart ideas for a better borough
The council has launched a new campaign on its ideas hub encouraging people to highlight areas where smart technology can help address local challenges in order to improve residents’ quality of life or to make working in the borough easier and more efficient.
All ideas can be submitted on the council’s dedicated ideas platform by visiting lovebasingstoke.dialogue-app.com. All challenges will be considered and there are no restrictions when it comes to themes. Challenges can be about transport, health, leisure, education or any other area that could make the borough smarter and better.
Suggestions will be evaluated and if selected by a panel of judges they will be featured as part of forthcoming Basingstoke Hack Weekend, an event that will bring together technology enthusiasts to develop a digital solution to the challenges set.

“Smart technology has a chance to make a real difference and this campaign is an important step in the council’s ambition to becoming a smart town.”
This challenge is open until 30 April 2018.
