News release 8430, published on 07 Mar 2019
Local businesses can get help and support on how to prepare for Brexit at a free event next week.

Being hosted by the Enterprise M3 Local Enterprise Partnership and Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council, the session will give businesses the opportunity to receive one-to-one support from a range of experts.

Speakers include representatives from accountancy firm RSM, Phillips Solicitors, the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport and the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy.

Topics that will be covered at the session, which will take place from 9am to 1pm on Wednesday 13 March at Springpark House, Basing View, include HR and employing EU citizens, customs and tax implications and data protection and cross-border trade.

Cabinet Member leading on Brexit Cllr Simon Bound said: “We understand that this is an uncertain time for businesses in the borough and this session will give them the chance to speak with experts and get support and advice to help them prepare for Brexit and understand what it could mean for their business.”
