Give your views on play park upgrade
Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council is asking residents and users of the popular park’s play area to give their views on how to improve the facilities for young people of all ages and enhance the landscaping.
The council plans to refurbish the play area this year, financed by the Local Infrastructure Fund. It wants local people to suggest how they would like the play area to look and what is important for the play area.
People can comment at www.basingstoke.gov.uk/chineham-park-refurbishment until Sunday 27 June 2021. The responses received from the consultation will shape the final design of the facilities and work is expected to start later this year.
Cabinet Member for the Natural Environment and Climate Improvement Cllr Mark Ruffell said: “We are pleased to have funding for play area improvements at Chineham Park in Popley and we welcome suggestions for new equipment and landscaping from local people.
“The refurbishment will give a boost to a well-used and valued play area for children to enjoy for many years to come. Please complete the short online survey and have your say.”
