Authority Monitoring Report (AMR)
Local Planning Authorities are required, under Section 113 of the Localism Act 2011, to produce an annual AMR. The AMR monitors:
- Implementation of the Local Development Scheme.
- The progress and effectiveness of the council's Local Plan (adopted in May 2016).
- The extent to which the planning policies set out in the borough’s Local Plan are being achieved.
It also includes a five year housing land supply position statement.
Current status of the AMR
The 2019 AMR for the period 1 April 2018 to 31 March 2019 is available to download below. It was published in December 2019.
The 2019 AMR also monitors seven of the borough's made neighbourhood plans and these monitoring reports can be viewed in Appendix 6.
The AMR can also be read in conjunction with the council's Profile of the Borough. It supports the AMR in providing data on population demographics, economic and social issues and population forecasts/projections for the borough.
