Basingstoke Parkruns

Come and join one of Basingstoke’s weekly parkruns! They are completely free and are open to anyone to take part whether you are a seasoned athlete or just an occasional walker. The focus is on fun and is a great chance to run with others whilst also posting a time if you wish.

If you’re aged 14 or over then come along to Basingstoke’s Saturday 5km Parkrun which takes place at the War Memorial Park at 9am. Visit the Parkrun website to register and get your unique code.

If you've got children between the ages of 4 and 14 , they can take part in Junior Parkrun which happens at 9am every Sunday at Stratton Park (RG22 5HL). Please register your child before taking part at Parkrun website

Walking football

Walking Football is a slower version of the game we all know. It’s the same as regular football but with a few rule changes such as no running and no contact. The game is perfect for those who are either returning from injury or those who have stopped playing the full version of the game due to their age.

Walking netball

Walking Netball is a slowed down version of the game of netball, designed for anyone looking to exercise in a relaxed, supportive and friendly environment. It’s aimed at all ages and abilities.

Local tennis league

The Basingstoke local tennis league is a great opportunity for adults to play regular matches against others of a similar standard. Matches can be played at times and locations suitable for you and your opponent. You can work your way up the league, have fun and meet new people. Four rounds of matches take place each year.

Tennis at Stratton Park

Stratton Park has six floodlit outdoor tennis courts available to use. These must be booked in advance to enable you to access the courts.

Bike rides for women

FREE bike rides led by women for women

If you are female aged 16+ and are looking to meet new people to cycle with and find new routes then maybe the Breeze Network if for you. Cycle rides are arranged and led by local trained female ride leaders. Rides start from a variety of locations and cater for beginners or those who wish to challenge themselves further. These are led on cycle-ways, trails or on-road.
