M3 Job Club

The M3 Job Club has two simple aims:

• To support people back to work
• To connect members with business

What they do:

The Job Club is a charitable incorporated organisation. It provides an environment for those in job transition or placed at risk of redundancy, who want:

• to work
• the opportunity to network
• to share experiences
• to support each other in a positive, learning environment

whilst gaining knowledge and advice on their journey back to work.

They work with a number of local SME and corporate businesses in and around the Basingstoke region. Members attend from North Hampshire, Berkshire and Surrey and attend based on their own choice and personal needs. The 16 week, business-focused and coaching-led programme is run by professionals from businesses who all donate their time for free.

People Plus

People Plus runs a range of frontline public services including:

• employment and welfare
• training
• education
• financial advice

a great deal of which are provided in partnership with a variety of public sector, not for profit and private sector organisations. People Plus aims to:

• support people to find and keep jobs, and help others set up their own businesses
• deliver skills and training to ensure people can access the right employment and enhance their career prospects
• reduce the risk of reoffending by tackling the root causes of crime and offending
• provide access to financial advice
• improve access to health, social and relevant advisory services.

Jobcentre Plus

Jobcentre Plus offers access to information and advice on benefits and looking for work. Job vacancies are on the website and there is practical support for applying for jobs and writing a CV.

Volunteering
