Markets have been held in Basingstoke since the original market was established by Royal Charter in 1622.

The market is situated in Market Place at the Top of the Town and continues down Wote Street towards Festival Place. Find out the location of the market below:

General markets take place on Wednesdays and Saturdays between 9am and 4pm. Stalls often include fresh produce such as fruit, vegetables, meat, eggs and street food. The stalls at the market frequently change, find out more about what is on offer at the market.

In addition to the traditional Wednesday and Saturday markets, there is an annual events programme at the Top of the Town which has been designed to bring vibrancy and colour to the area, Love Basingstoke Presents.
