Basingstoke and Deane run a graffiti cleaning service and will remove incident of graffiti from public areas such as the council owned parks and open spaces.
This will include public buildings, street furniture such as street nameplates, litter bins and benches with our area of responsibility.
We do not clean any privately owned structure without the permission of the owner which will incur a charge for residential and commercial properties. You will be required to fill out an indemnity form prior to any works being undertaken on your property.
Depending on what materials were used by the perpetrator on the surface of the structures our cleaning is not guaranteed to remove all the graffiti and can leave a ghost mark. An officer will advise on the best method and whether it is practical.
Please note Hampshire County Council have responsibility for specific street structures in Basingstoke such as underpasses and bridges. You can report a problem via the Hampshire County Council website.
There are two types of Utility boxes owned by Virgin Media and Openreach (BT) which they are responsible to maintain.
Utility boxes and substations are the responsibility of the relevant companies to arrange removal.
Anything on the rail network will be the responsibility of Network Rail or the local Station.
