Drone and aerial filming

Stunning aerial photography and filming can turn a good scene into an amazing scene and we want to help you achieve best results for your production.

Production companies that are using a drone operator to capture aerial shots as part of their filming, will need to ensure The Drone and Model Aircraft Code is followed, as do commercial drone operators looking for permission to take-off or land on council for photography purposes

This ensures ensure the privacy of people on the ground is respected and any members of the public are kept safe.

For drone filming we will need:

  • a copy of the drone operators CAA licence
  • public liability insurance for the drone operator
  • a copy of the drone operator's risk assessment

Further information on the requirements to fly a drone commercially are available from the CAA website.
