Electoral Services plan and manage all borough and parish elections within the Basingstoke and Deane area.
Members of Parliament are elected to the House of Commons. The Basingstoke and Deane Borough is covered by the Basingstoke Constituency (which gives away Wards to Hart District Council (North East Hampshire Constituency) and Test Valley Borough Council (North West Hampshire Constituency)

The next Local Borough and Parish council elections are scheduled to take place on Thursday 4 May 2023. There will be one seat vacant across all 18 wards in borough. In some areas, there will be parish elections if contested. The Basingstoke and Deane borough is represented by 54 councillors across 18 borough wards.
Elections take place every four years for Hampshire County Council and the next elections are scheduled for May 2025. The Basingstoke and Deane borough is represented by ten county councillors.
Elections for the Police and Crime Commissioner for the Hampshire Police Authority took place on Thursday 6 May 2021. Police and Crime Commissioners are elected every four years, with the next elections in May 2024.
Please be aware that a polling card is an information document that details the date of an election and the polling station that you should attend. If you do not have the polling card your right to cast your vote will not be affected as long as your name appears on the relevant Register of Electors.
