Basingstoke Green Week

Basingstoke Green Week 2018 is back for a sixth year. We have over 30 events, activities and special offers taking place from Saturday 22 September to Sunday 30 September 2018.

The Green Week events programme is listed below, it is available to download online or a copy can be picked up at distribution points across the borough.

Most events are free of charge and include family fun days, guided cycle rides, bug hunts, a visit to Chineham Energy Recovery Facility and lots more! Some events have a small charge to cover the costs of organisation and refreshments but great value for money is guaranteed.

This year we have a Green Market In the Malls on Saturday 22 September, an evening celebration for anyone involved in a community group on Tuesday 25 September and an activity day at the Discovery Centre on Saturday 29 September. Watch this space for the full programme.

Basingstoke Green Week is an annual event organised by local community groups, residents and supported by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council.

The aim and vision for the week is to showcase all the good work going on in the borough, including local organic and environmentally friendly products and services. The activities during the week aim at finding new, fun and innovative ways of celebrating all things ‘green’.
