Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council’s Housing and Homelessness Strategy sets out our main priorities and actions and seeks to build on the success of previous strategies. Part of this includes a plan to prevent homelessness (a homelessness strategy) that we have to have by law.
The updated strategy was approved at Council in October 2023. The Housing and Homelessness Strategy sets key actions for the next four years to speed up the delivery of more social rented homes, improve the quality of homes and continue innovative work to prevent homelessness and end rough sleeping.

The published strategy is below. The council will produce annual monitoring reports after each year to measure the progress of the strategy. These will be added to this page.
