Responsible authorities

For the following applications made under the Licensing Act 2003, the bodies below are statutory consultees:

• Application for a Premises Licence
• Application for a Club Premises Certificate
• Application for a Provisional Statement
• Application for a variation of Premises Licence or Club Premises Certificate (excluding minor variations)
• Application for a review of a Premises Licence /Club Premises Certificate

Applicants must ensure all responsible authorities are sent a copy of their application when submitting it by non-electronic means. For further information, visit our Licensing Act 2003 page.

All of the Responsible Authorities may make a representation about any of the above application types on consultation. Any representation must relate to one or more of the four Licensing Objectives which are:

• the prevention of public nuisance
• the protection of children from harm
• the prevention of crime and disorder
• public safety

Any representation must be received by the Licensing Authority by midnight on the 28th day of the statutory consultation period. Representations submitted after that date will not be considered.
