Report dog fouling

It is an offence not to clean up after your dog in any street or public area in the borough. If you are caught, you could be given a fixed penalty fine of £50.

In some parks there are special bins for people to put in the dog waste but generally litter bins should be used for this purpose.

You can report instances of dog fouling by clicking on the button below.

Dog fouling will be removed within 24 hours if in a play area and within five working days for all other areas.

Dog Control Orders

Stratton Playing Field, Buckskin, Basingstoke and Beggarwood Park, Hatch Warren, Basingstoke are covered by Dog Control Orders. This increases the fixed penalty fine for dog fouling to £75 and requires dogs to be kept on a lead when directed to do so by an authorised council officer.
