Elections

Members of Parliament are elected to the House of Commons. Basingstoke and Deane Borough is covered by the

  • Basingstoke Constituency
  • North East Hampshire Constituency
  • North West Hampshire Constituency
  • East Hampshire Constituency

Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council will administer the election for the Basingstoke Constituency and the North West Hampshire Constituency including those wards that form part of Test Valley Borough Council that are in the North West Hampshire Constituency. Wards in North East Hampshire Constituency will be administered by Hart District Council. Wards in East Hampshire Constituency will be administered by East Hampshire District Council.

Elections take place every four years for Hampshire County Council and the next elections are scheduled for May 2025. The Basingstoke and Deane borough is represented by ten county councillors.

Please be aware that a polling card is an information document that details the date of an election and the polling station that you should attend. If you do not have the polling card your right to cast your vote will not be affected as long as your name appears on the relevant Register of Electors. If you have not received a polling card and are worried that you are not entered on the Register of Electors then please contact us.
