Grant funding support for community and voluntary sector organisations
The UK Shared Prosperity Fund aims to improve pride in place and increase life chances across the UK. The Fund invests in communities and place, supports local business, people and skills. For more information on the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, visit the GOV.UK website.
During 2023/24 and 2024/25, the council used its £1M allocation of UK Shared Prosperity Fund. It provided financial assistance to community and voluntary sector organisations and businesses in the borough to establish the following grant schemes.
All schemes are now closed for applications.
Pride in Place Fund
Rural England Prosperity Fund
The Fund supported local not-for-profit organisations to deliver new and innovative capital projects to improve community facilities and amenities and enhance the visitor infrastructure and experience within the borough.
Cost of Living Community Fund
The Fund supported not-for-profit community or voluntary sector groups or organisations operating and delivering services within the borough to deliver projects to support local residents affected by the rising cost of living.

The Employment Support Fund
The Fund supported members of the Basingstoke and Deane Employment and Skills Partnership to deliver short-term actions and projects. These supported residents facing barriers, to move closer to work.
The Cultural Compact Fund
The Fund supported any member of the Cultural Compact and associated partners to deliver projects to support participation in arts and culture in the borough.
