Mayor's Spring Charity Concert 'Thank You for the Music'
In aid of the Mayor’s Charity Appeal
All are welcome to join the Mayor of Basingstoke and Deane, Cllr Paul Miller, for an incredible one-off spectacular evening filled with song.
Basingstoke Festival of Choirs, supporting the Mayor’s Charity Appeal 2022/23, has a programme of music containing something for everyone. Reflecting the Mayor’s key principles of community engagement and well-being, the music showcases the huge variety and diversity of the singing opportunities within the borough. Music includes a selection from ‘Les Miserables’, ‘This is Me’, ‘Those Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines’, ‘Heal the World’ to ‘Gloria by Vivaldi’ with accompaniment from the Heritage Light Orchestra.
Special guest choirs include St Mary’s CE Junior School Choir, Odiham Military Wives Choir and Ukrainian women’s choir Kalyna.
This is a great opportunity to support the Mayor’s Charity Appeal raising funds and awareness for two local charities - The Pink Place incorporating The Blue Space and Tough Enough To Care.
