Paying your business rates

Instalments are automatically spread over 10 months. If you'd like to pay over 12 monthly instalments, please contact the business rates team by emailing or by calling 01256 844844.

You can pay your business rates using the following methods:

Direct Debit

If you would like to pay by Direct Debit, please complete and return our Direct Debit form (PDF) [167kb].

Alternatively, the Business Rates Team can set up a Direct Debit for you if you are the authorised signatory of the bank account. Please call us on 01256 844844 between:

Using a highly secure link, you can pay your business rates 24 hours a day, seven days a week via the internet.


You can use our automated telephone system 01256 845757, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, using debit or credit cards to pay your business rates.

Alternatively, pay by credit or debit card during normal office hours by calling 01256 844844.

Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm (except on bank holidays)

Please have your account reference number and credit or debit card ready when calling and also have a pen and paper ready to note down your payment reference number at the end of the call.
