Equipped play areas

Play park

Play areas provide a range of challenging experiences for children in a relatively safe environment where they can develop skills such as creativity, meet other children and become more independent and aware of their own abilities.

We provide over 150 play areas around the borough and are committed to maintaining them as safely as possible.

All council play areas are inspected daily or weekly depending on use so that hazards such as glass and litter are kept to a minimum and that the equipment is in good working order.

The padding pool at Eastrop Park will open to visitors in the summer after the completion of essential maintenance work identified through our pre-opening health and safety checks. We will provide updates here and on our social media channels.

Chineham Park Splash Pad

The splash pad at Chineham Park will open on Saturday 4 May.

During this time the facility will be regularly cleaned and tested to ensure it remains safe for those people using it. There may be times when we may need to temporarily close the splash pad for deep cleaning and testing. If this is required we will update the website, share on our social media channels and place signage at the site.
