Injunction application unauthorised encampments

The application by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council and Hampshire County Council to the High Court for a final injunction against the setting up of unauthorised encampments within the urbanised area of Basingstoke town, as well as the outlying areas of Bramley, Silchester, Tadley Common and a small parcel of land at Stratfield Turgis was granted on 23 May 2024. The injunction includes provision for powers of arrest and will be in place until 3 April 2025 and prevents unauthorised encampments in a 26 square mile radius of Basingstoke and Deane.
