Election of a parish councillor for Sherfield on Loddon

There will be a by-election to fill the vacancy on Sherfield on Loddon Parish Council. A poll will be held on Thursday 8 October 2026. The hours of poll are 7am to 10pm.

• If you are not already registered, the deadline to register to vote for this election will be 11:59pm on Tuesday 22 September 2026.
• New applications to vote by post, or cancel existing postal votes for this election must be received by 5pm on Wednesday 23 September 2026.
• Applications to appoint a proxy to vote on your behalf must be received by 5pm on Wednesday 30 September 2026.

Nomination process

If you are interested as standing as a candidate, you will need to submit your nomination papers between 10am Thursday 3 September 2026 and 4pm Friday 11 September 2026. You must submit your nomination papers by hand to Electoral Services at Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council. Please call 01256 845467 to arrange an appointment.
