Wellbeing resources
- Hampshire County Council has produced a new Mental Health and Wellbeing Support Guide for Adults (opens in a new window (pdf) [1.6Mb] with lots of useful tips to manage your wellbeing. This includes information on where to find specific support and how to get urgent care if needed.
- If you are struggling with your mental health or to keep yourself safe and cannot wait to see a doctor, it’s important to tell someone. There are organisations that will listen to what’s troubling you and provide support. Find out more in this NHS guide on urgent support.
- Parenting isn’t easy. If you are finding it tough and want advice on looking after your own mental health, or supporting your child’s mental wellbeing whilst we spend more time at home, Young Minds offers parent and carer tips, a helpline and support guide.
Accessing support during COVID-19
Do you need or do you know someone who needs help, for example with getting food or prescriptions, during COVID-19? There is information on getting help on our accessing support on our COVID-19 Community hub webpage.

Basingstoke Voluntary Action
We are working with Basingstoke Voluntary Action to co-ordinate community support during the COVID-19 pandemic. This partnership will enhance the significant community work already taking place across the borough, providing a source of further information and guidance and allowing us to match suitable volunteers to community groups.
If you would like to volunteer, are thinking about starting a group in your area, please visit BVA's volunteering page, email contact@bvaction.org.uk or call 01256 423816 to register your group and find contact details for accessing guidance and support.
