Urban Design Framework
The council commissioned consultants Feria Urbanism to provide a high-level contextual survey and analysis of Basingstoke town to help underpin the design policies in the Local Plan Update.
The study focuses on Basingstoke, reflecting the success of the neighbourhood planning process in ensuring that this sort of analysis has already been undertaken for many of the other settlements in the borough. This study involved analysis of recent developments around the town and consideration of relevant policy drivers in order to help inform policy formulation.
