Local Plan Update Regulation 18 consultation 2024

From Monday 22 January 2024 to Monday 4 March 2024 the council held a consultation on the draft Local Plan Update (Regulation 18). The statutory consultation asked respondents to give their views on the proposed spatial strategy and draft policies and site allocations. The consultation provided all stakeholders with the opportunity to shape the Local Plan update. The council held a further Regulation 18 consultation on the Draft Spatial Strategy from November 2025 to January 2026.

Outcomes of the regulation 18 consultation

There was a good response to the consultation, with over 1,600 representations made and approximately 7,000 comments. The representations can be viewed on the council's CiviQ consultation portal.
