The Pay Policy Statement sets out Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council’s policies relating to the pay of its workforce for the current financial year.
Pay multiple
This is defined as the ratio between the highest paid taxable earnings for the given year (including base salary, variable pay, bonuses, allowances and the cash value of any benefits-in-kind) and the median earnings figure of the whole of the council’s workforce.

The National Audit Office has published A guide to your rights booklet explaining your rights to inspect, question and challenge the council’s accounts. As part of this process, we publish public notices to explain when the accounts are available for inspection.
A notice of public rights to inspect the accounts and supporting documents is published once the responsible finance officer has signed and dated the unaudited draft Statement of Accounts. By doing so, they confirm that they are satisfied the accounts present a true and fair view of:

Once the statutory audit has been completed, a further public notice is issued confirming that the audited Statement of Accounts is available for inspection.
