Oversized Vehicles
Our car parks are for private vehicles not exceeding certain widths and not able to carry more than seven passengers. Some of our car parks have height barriers. In others, the size and/or layout of the car park is not suitable for larger vehicles.

However, there are two car parks that could accommodate larger vehicles such as motorhomes and large transit-type vans:

  • Castons car park at the top of town
  • Churchill Way car parks at the bottom of town

These vehicles won't be able to park in a single marked bay, they may park across a couple of bays. Two or more pay and display tickets must be purchased in respect of the number of spaces occupied.

Other car parks

Festival Place , North Hampshire Hospital and Basingstoke railway station parking facilities are not council-operated. Click on each of the links to find out more information about parking.

The council also owns several car parks in Whitchurch, Overton, Kingsclere and Bramley which are free of charge. Directions for these car parks can be found below:

On-street parking spaces

We publish the number of marked out controlled on-street parking spaces. Or an estimate of the number of spaces where controlled parking is not marked. Information on parking spaces can be found in the document at the bottom of the page.
