Reasons why your bin may not have been collected:
- It was not put out by 6am on your collection day
- It was not put at the point nearest to the public highway where the collection vehicle stops, such as the end of a path or driveway where it joins the public highway. This could be the pavement or road.
- It was overloaded or too heavy
- It may be damaged so it can't be lifted safely
- It was not accessible. Your road may have been blocked or the bin was behind a locked gate
- Severe weather conditions
- It contained items which are not accepted
- The garden waste was frozen and stuck inside the bin
Containers are collected by separate vehicles so may be picked up at different times throughout the day.
If none of these apply you can report your missed bin after 6pm on your collection day, but before the end of the next working day using the form below.
