Referendum results
The referendum for the Overton Neighbourhood Plan was held on Thursday 23 June 2016. There was a turnout of 71%. The results of the poll included: 1293 votes in favour (53%) and 1149 votes against (47%). More than 50% of those voting in the referendum voted ‘yes’ and therefore the neighbourhood plan has become part of the statutory development plan for Overton.

Leaflets have been published by the 'Vote No to Overton Neighbourhood Plan Group' and the ‘Yes for Overton’ campaign group in relation to the referendum. Do you want Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Overton to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?
