Thank you for your patience and understanding during a very difficult time for our crew

Please ensure all bins are out by 7am. You can look up your waste and recycling collection days on the When are my bins collected webpage. You can also view your garden waste collections if you are signed up to the service.

To provide you with your collection dates we first need to know where you live. Different properties on the same street may fall under different rounds, so it is essential that you select your own property and not that of a neighbour.

Please make sure you have your property number on your bin, as this helps our crews return it to the correct place after it has been emptied. We can send you bin stickers to write your property number on, just complete our online bin sticker request form and we'll post some stickers to you.

Help to protect our crews

To help protect our crews and stop the coronavirus (COVID-19) spreading we are asking customers to follow these guidelines from Public Health England about how to dispose of their waste if they suspect they may have the virus.

"Personal waste (such as used tissues) and disposable cleaning cloths should be stored securely within disposable rubbish bags. These bags should be placed into another bag, tied securely and kept separate from other waste. This should be put aside for at least 72 hours before being put in your usual external household waste bin. Other household waste can be disposed of as normal."

Residents can help keep themselves and the council’s bin crews safe by washing their hands before and after putting their bins out and collecting them in. They should also wipe bin handles where possible. The bin crews do wear gloves as part of their standard equipment but touch many bins every day, these actions will reduce the risk of spreading the virus.
